Council to Consider Allowing Dogs in Park

11/1/2016

Council will be considering legislation to allow dogs in our parks. I have asked council to propose this legislation on a non-emergency basis.
This means the ordinance would be considered for sponsorship and a second at the regular meeting on November 1st at 7:30 p.m.
The ordinance would then be considered for a formal vote at the next regular meeting on December 6th at 7:30 p.m.
Regular Ordinances by our Charter require a simple majority of 3 of the 5 members.

The ordinance preventing dogs in our park was passed in 1975. I welcome your comments and input and will forward your comments to council as they work toward a decision. I can be reached by cell phone (216) 408-5612, email mprocuk@brooklynhts.org or just stop and chat with me at my office or around the village.

Thank you for your input,
mayor mike
