Blood Drive - URGENT NEED! Red Cross - Village of Brooklyn Heights, Ohio

Brooklyn Heights will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, August 28th. Please plan to come to the Community Center at the corner of Schaaf Road and Tuxedo Avenue between 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Shortages in life-saving blood often occur during the summer months. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. There is currently a shortage and an URGENT NEED for blood donations.

Come to donate blood and receive a coupon for $10 off Cedar Point admission and an American Red Cross t-shirt honoring those who serve! (while supplies last) 

  • The average red blood cell transfusion is approximately 3 pints.
  • The blood type most often requested by hospitals is Type O.
  • More than 1.6 million people were diagnosed with cancer last year. Many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment.
  • A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
