Smoke Detector Request Information 2021

3/14/2021

Turn your clock AHEAD on Sunday, March 14, 2021!

The Brooklyn Heights Fire Department reminds you to change your smoke detector batteries as you reset your clocks to daylight savings time.  The time changes in the fall and spring coincide with recommended battery life in a smoke detector.

As part of our ongoing effort to make certain that every village household has a working smoke detector, the fire department will accept any resident’s request to have their smoke detector batteries replaced.

More importantly, if you do not have a working smoke detector or if it is ten years old or older, please buy one and we will install it for you.

If you would like to participate in this program, please fill out the form below and drop it in the payment box located to the left of the main entrance of our municipal building or mail it to 345 Tuxedo Ave. BH 44131.

I will personally be in contact with you to schedule a date and time.

With Safety in Mind
