We'd like to remind village residents that there are ordinances covering the appropriate times
for waste bins and trash to be placed on the curb for collection:
Waste containers and trash can only be put out AFTER 6:00 p.m. the day prior to trash collection.
The bins and any other waste containers cannot be left out past 9:00 p.m. the night of trash collection.

RUBBISH PICK-UP.
(a) No waste container or waste or refuse not placed in a container shall be placed in front of any house or other building by the owner, agent, lessee or occupant of that building for collection prior to 6:00 p.m. immediately preceding the day for re
fuse collection.
(b) No empty waste container shall be permitted to remain in the front of any house or building by the owner, agent, lessee or occupant of that building later than 9:00 p.m. on the day of refuse collection.

PENALTY.
Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) for each offense.
A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
Waste containers that are on the curb too far in advance of collection or for days after collection has been completed cause problems with animals, insects, and sidewalks and driveways being blocked.
