Kathleen Kapusta, LISW
For over 30 years, she has operated a private counseling practice, Associates in Lifestyle Management, with a focus on serving seniors. In addition to teaching at Cuyahoga Community College, she has presented at workshops and community forums. She has served on both the Independence Board of Education for 11 years, 6 years as Board President and as an Independence City Councilwoman for 8 years. After 14 years, she retired as Coordinator of Senior Services for the City of Independence.
Kathleen resides in Independence with her husband John. Mark, her son, passed away in 2003. Her son Scott, and his wife Jessica and their young daughter, reside in Philadelphia. With his MBA and JD, his career is in the field of finance. Rebecca, her daughter, has her doctorate from the Ohio State University and works at OSU in administration and teaching. Her partner, Steven, is Superintendent at the Cleveland Metropark’s Washington Park Golf Course.
