Kathleen Kapusta, LISW
Kathleen Kapusta is a Licensed Independent Social Worker, with a specialty in geriatric case management.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree from John Carroll University and a Master's Degree from Case Western Reserve University.
With a background in both medical and psychiatric social work, she has been a consultant in nursing homes, home health care and hospice.
For 12 years she was Director of Social Service at Parma Hospital. The past 20 years she has operated a private counseling practice, Associates in Lifestyle Management, with a focus on serving seniors. In addition to teaching at Cuyahoga Community College, she has presented at workshops and community forums.
She served on the Independence Board of Education for 11 years, 6 years as Board President. After 14 years she retired as Coordinator of Senior Services for the City of Independence and has had the privilege of serving as a Councilwoman since January of 2014.
Kathleen resides in Independence with her husband John, who is Head Women's Golf Coach at Baldwin Wallace University.
Her son, Scott, was married May 31st and he and his wife Jessica live in Cincinnati. A daughter, Rebecca, is completing her graduate degree in higher education at OSU.
Kathleen states, "My passion is working with seniors and I look forward to meeting and assisting many of the senior residents in Brooklyn Heights."
